Usage Note 55096: Managing the display of dimension names and measure captions when a cube is opened directly in SAS® Web Report Studio
When you open a cube directly, SAS Web Report Studio automatically capitalizes the first letter of each word in dimension names and measure captions. Specifically, you see the capitalized words in the Select Data dialog box, the Assign Data dialog box, and the Section Data pane on the left.
Capitalized words also appear for measure captions in crosstabulation tables and graphs. However, in tables and graphs, level captions are used instead of dimension names. SAS Web Report Studio displays level captions as they are defined in the cube.
As a workaround, you can create an information map based on the cube and deselect the option Capitalize the first letter of each word.
Beginning with release 4.4_M3, you can configure SAS Web Report Studio to display dimension names and measure captions as they are defined in the cube.
- In SAS® Management Console, select Application Management ► Configuration Manager ► SAS Application Infrastructure.
- Right-click Web Report Studio 4.x, and select Properties.
- In the Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
- Click Add to open the Define New Property dialog box.
- For the Property Name, enter wrs.make.cube.label.user.friendly
- For the Property Value, enter
false
- Click OK twice to exit both dialog boxes and save the changes.
- Restart your web application server to enforce the new setting.
